JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manager, Growth & Development will be responsible for driving new business and JAM Sports revenue across Michigan markets. You will be primarily focused on finding new venues, finding new players and focusing on positively expanding the JAM brand across Michigan.



This role will focus on 3 main pillars:

1) People: Finding new and retaining current players for our adult recreational sports leagues.

2) Venues: Finding new places to play and maintaining existing venue relationships.

3) League Convenors: Managing league convenors to ensure games get played and we deliver an excellent customer experience.



Specific responsibilities include:

Growing JAM Sports revenue to meet and exceed goals.
Identifying the main growth opportunities in regions around Michigan and bordering areas.
Building relationships to become a trusted expert and problem solver for our JAM Sports players.
Working directly with JAM’sProgram Manager and Venue Manager to discuss seasonal menu planning changes, new program ideas for current venues and how to maximize revenue across JAM Sports league.
Educating and exciting JAM players about our existing portfolio of JAM Sports leagues and events.
Sharing JAM content and promoting our JAM Sports leagues.
Managing League Convenors in Michigan and surrounding markets.
Working closely with our JAM Operations team to ensure a seamless experience for our players.
Working to increase the retention rate of current players, finding new players and places to play.


QUALIFICATIONS

Outstanding and energetic personality, keen to learn and help JAM grow.
University or College degree in Business, Sales or Sports Management is an asset.
2-3 years experience of sales experience is required.
2-3 years experience successfully managing a team.
Ability to think quickly on your feet and work well with a team.
Ability to adapt to change and experience working in an entrepreneurial organization.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

EXPECTED HOURS & REMOTE WORK

You will be working 40 hours per week.
You will typically work 9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday, and there will be some flexibility to cover evening and weekend work that will be needed, especially during league start-up time

$37,000-$42,000 USD annual salary
