Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $14 / hour
What you'll be doing as a Custodian:

• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Custodians are responsible for keeping the facility clean and tidy. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors, walls, and surfaces. They may also clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Waste Management: Custodians handle the proper disposal of waste and recyclable materials. They empty trash bins, collect recycling, and ensure that waste is disposed of in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Maintenance: Custodians may perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and fixing minor plumbing or electrical issues. They may also inspect the facility for damage or safety hazards and report any problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Stocking and Inventory: Some custodians are responsible for maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and restocking them as needed. This includes ordering new supplies, organizing storage areas, and keeping track of usage.
• Specialized Cleaning: In certain environments, custodians may be trained to handle specialized cleaning tasks. For example, in healthcare facilities, they may be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms and handling biohazardous waste according to specific protocols.
• Teamwork and Communication: Custodians often work as part of a team, collaborating with other custodial staff and supervisors. Effective communication skills are important for reporting issues, coordinating tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Custodians must adhere to established health and safety regulations to ensure their own well-being and that of others in the facility. This includes using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals.
• Time Management: Custodians need to manage their time effectively to complete their tasks within designated schedules. They may need to prioritize urgent cleaning needs, respond to maintenance requests promptly, and plan their work to minimize disruptions to facility occupants
