We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions of our organization and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities:
Project Management
- Assist in developing project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential roadblocks or issues.
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding project status updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of projects.

People Management & Training
- Oversee 1 full time bookkeeper on staff
- Improve SOPs and processes
- Recruit/hire more staff as needed

Tax
- US Sales tax payments
- Oversee VAT payments for UK, Canada

A/P & A/R
- Oversee Bill.com AP/AR process
- Approve payroll and large vendor payments
- Expense audit/reconciliation
- Monitor SAAS subscription database
- Oversee customer financial accounts including invoice financing

Reporting
- Preparing & analyzing monthly financials
- Budget vs actual reporting
- Cash forecast

Process Improvement
- Technology implementation
- Workflow optimization
- Expense reduction & auditing

Software:
Ideal applicants will have 2+ years of experience working with the following or something similar:
- ERP or inventory/order management software
- Bill.com (AP/AR software)
- Gusto.com
- Xero accounting or Quickbooks Online
- US GAAP accounting
- Inventory Planner or DEAR experience
- Retail & eCommerce: Shopify, Amazon, SPS Commerce EDI
- Admin/other: ClickUp project management, Google Suite, Slack, etc.

Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to work in a leadership role and supervise junior-level subordinates
- Extremely organized and process driven. Able to create, manage, and improve complex processes and automate time consuming tasks
- Trustworthy and reliable at handling confidential financial information with discretion.
- Must be an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment
- Have a keen eye for detail, particularly with pattern recognition in large data sets and with numbers & financial information
- Solutions-oriented mindset - identifies problems and proposes a solution
- Project management experience - implementing workflows, systems, software, etc
- Someone who is excited about the role and ready to bring new ideas to the table

Experience:
- Working knowledge of tax filing and tax compliance as it pertains to state and federal-level regulations
- Significant hands-on experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Xero or Quickbooks Online, and inventory management software
- Five years of experience working with small to mid-size businesses with high volumes of transactions
- Significant inventory experience (3-5+ years at an inventory-based company - import/export, ecommerce, retail/wholesale, etc)
