Introduction
ROYAL BAFOKENG RASEMONE PLATINUM MINE has an opportunity for a qualified Artisan: Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic to join our team at Mogalakwena branch. The successful candidate must have 3 years’ experience in the heavy earthmoving/mining equipment industry and a Trade Certificate as a Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic and be competent in reading and understanding hydraulic, pneumatics and electrical schematics.

Duties & Responsibilities
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to search and interpret Komatsu Parts Manuals and be competent in reading and understanding hydraulic, pneumatics and electrical schematics.
Machine Inspections: Field and Workshop.
Machinery knowledge: ( Track Dozer, Wheel Dozer , Dump Truck and 930Es)
Machine and Component Disassembly and Assembly (new and rebuild).
Ability to perform planned and breakdown repairs (Disassemble, inspect and assemble) Komatsu Earthmoving components to supplier standards and customer requirements.
Ability to ensure reusability of parts during inspection
Ability to disassemble, inspect and assemble Hydraulic Cylinders and Pumps to Komatsu standards.
Ensure safe work practice.
Contamination Control
Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns)
Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained.
Basic technical report writing
Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
Failure analysis skills.
Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies & procedures
Follows Quality processes
Sound interpersonal and communication skills
Desired Experience & Qualification
QUALIFICATIONS:

N3/ Grade 12
Trade Certificate: Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic (essential)
Valid Driver’s license

EXPERIENCE

3 years experience in the earthmoving/mining equipment industry.
2 years minimum experience in Hydraulic components
Component specific technical knowledge and skills
