Maintenance Technician - Weekend Shift

at Jobisite in Ohio

THIS IS A FULL-TIME, PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY, WITH BENEFITS AND PAID TIME OFF.

The primary role of the Weekend Maintenance Technician is to support the weekend plant operations through the Preventive Maintenance program, troubleshooting, and repairs to sustain continuous production.

All the duties will be done following established GMPs, SQF, OSHA regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines, including LOTO.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance, diagnosis and repair on equipment and machinery to assure efficient and safe operating conditions.

Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time.

Maintain and repair industrial bakery process and packaging machinery such as Mixers, Wirecutters, Ovens, Metal Detectors, Conveyors, Flow Wrap Machines, and various other equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment.

Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Follow all required work safe practices. This would include Lockout/Tag-out requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.

Maintain company standards for cleanliness, food and equipment safety and efficient productivity.

REQUIREMENTS:

Associate degree in Electro Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or other type of technical area directly related to the industrial maintenance field, OR 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience repairing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical machines in a manufacturing facility.

Ability to successfully work independently and as a team with minimal supervision to accomplish tasks as assigned.

Must be knowledgeable of preventative maintenance techniques, and have a strong background on mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, or reliability maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret written and verbal direction while working in a safe, effective and productive manner within a fast paced environment.

Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics preferred.

Knowledge of electrical systems using 480 volt 3 phase as well as 240 volt through 24 volt single phase systems.

Ability to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and VFDs hardware including Allen Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider PLCs as well as others used in the field.

Light fabrication, cutting and welding experience is preferred.

Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
