P/T ESL Teacher

at Jobisite in Massachusetts

FLS Boston Commons is looking to fill upcoming part-time ESL teaching assignments for in-person group classes Monday-Friday - 10:00am-1:00pm .

The class will then be in-person at our downtown English language center (across from Park Street Station) Monday-Friday evenings from 6:30pm-10pm in December. There may be some substitution assignments prior to that as well. Some classes may be available afterward on a month by month basis. Other daytime class opportunities may open up as well.

We are a wonderful place to teach, with spacious classrooms, and located just across the street from Park Street Station. FLS enjoys views of the Boston Common, the Back Bay, and beyond and every classroom is equipped with modern networked smartboards. We have curricula spanning over 30 years of development with easy lesson planning guidelines. In addition, FLS is accredited by CEA, speaking to our higher standards. Our learning community is well-established in Boston with administrators (all teachers, too) and teachers, who work daily to confront the challenges and goals of our collective calling. Our teacher work room is large with computer access terminals, ESL resources, and (most importantly to many) a fast, high capacity copy machine with scanning and sending capability.

Our teaching positions require English proficiency, an MA in TESOL or related field preferred, but a BA acceptable, with at least some significant ESL teaching experience (a TESOL certificate with 100+ course hours is also preferred) .

Candidate must reside in the greater Boston metro area and able to commute to teach classes downtown.
