Background: Pitch Labs is a 501(c)3 non-profit that is taking strides to change the face of entrepreneurship. As it stands right now, obtaining entrepreneurial knowledge can be expensive and seems only available to limited amounts of people. However, millions of entrepreneurs worldwide know that they can make innovations that will change and shape society forever. Pitch Labs is helping entrepreneurs unlock the resources they need by creating a free online library, hosting virtual events, and opening clubs in schools to allow entrepreneurs to unlock their skills and do what they are meant to do: create!

How this role ties into our mission: As an Ideator/Scriptwriter, your primary responsibility is to track trends on social media platforms, ensuring that our content remains relevant and engaging for our entrepreneurial audience. By staying ahead of emerging trends, you contribute to the creation of timely and impactful topics that resonate with entrepreneurs and address their evolving needs. Generating 7 topics per week allows us to consistently provide strategic resources to entrepreneurs, empowering them with valuable insights and actionable advice to support their journey. Ultimately, your role plays a vital part in fulfilling our mission by facilitating connections, fostering empowerment, and providing entrepreneurs with the strategic resources they need to succeed in their endeavors.

What We Need: We have a vision, we have a platform, but we need events to connect everyone together. Business reaches every single industry and profession in the world, and that means there are an infinite amount of questions to answer and lessons to teach.

As an Ideator & Script Writer, you will report directly to the Short Form Video Manager, ensuring alignment with overall content strategy. Take charge of tracking trends on social media platforms, continuously monitoring changes and emerging topics relevant to our entrepreneurial audience. Generate 7 engaging and timely topics per week, reflecting current trends and addressing the strategic needs of entrepreneurs.
Work closely with Figurehead to create videos.
Collaborate closely with the Video Manager and other team members to refine topics and ensure they align with our mission and brand guidelines.
Ensure all topics are approved at least 2 weeks prior to recording, allowing for adequate preparation and optimization of content.
Craft compelling scripts that effectively communicate key messages and resonate with our audience, maintaining a consistent tone and style across all videos.

Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Short Form Video Manager, you will be responsible for tracking trends on social media and creating 7 topics per week. Topics must be approved at least 2 weeks prior to recording. Discuss with the Short Form Video Manager past videos and good reach or areas of improvement, and work with feedback to continue innovating your video content for Pitch Labs.

Qualifications:
CURRENT undergraduate University student with the USA
Proven experience in content ideation and scriptwriting, preferably in the digital media or social media space.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, with the ability to effectively track and analyze data to inform content strategy.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and concise scripts tailored to specific platforms and audiences.
Creativity and innovative thinking, with a demonstrated ability to generate engaging topics and narratives that resonate with target demographics.
Desire to build your skills in content creation!

Time Commitment: THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Therefore we are extremely flexible with time and just ask that you contribute what you can. If you have exams, work, or family events come up, you are more than able to take a break. During times when you are an active volunteer, we ask that you simply contribute at least 3-5 hours a week (ideally for at least 6 months). This is a great position for students in school or university who want to go into a career field but want to learn more about it; you will be able to dive deeper than you have ever done before!
