Our Respiratory Therapists are responsible for setting up and maintaining PAPs, Non-Invasive Ventilators, etc. then the following equipment maintenance. We also do internal mining, which involves reading patients' medical charts to identify new opportunities for other equipment. An example is looking at the medical records of an Oxygen patient to see if they may need an NIV.

These locations would not need an employee to do any invasive vents. Must be okay with the travel of one hour to servicing areas every day and back. Mileage is paid. Tablet is provided.

Education and Experience

Completion of an accredited program/degree in respiratory care is preferred. Nursing or other paramedical training may be acceptable depending on state licensure laws.
Home respiratory care experience is preferred.
A degree in respiratory therapy or related science is preferred.
Maintains continuing education as necessary for the performance of job responsibilities and as required for state licensure.

Certifications, License, Registrations

Credentials as a respiratory therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) are preferred. Still, other medical certificates may be acceptable (e.g., RN, LPN, LPV) depending upon state licensure laws.
Must be licensed in the primary state of the home office as required by state law and provide a copy of the license to the location. May be required to obtain a permit in neighboring states as required by the site's service area.
Must possess a current driver’s license or commercial driver’s license as required by law
Background investigation (company-wide)
Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
Valid driver’s license in the state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
