Our Client is seeking an Underground Mine Equipment Mechanic. The purpose of the Mine Equipment Mechanic is to maintain mine equipment utilizing quality procedures to meet production needs in an efficient and safe manner with a high degree of skills and knowledge utilizing many years of experience.

Key Responsibilities include:

Proper operation of service truck, including housekeeping, truck and service tools, utilizing effective time management.
Fulfilling preventative maintenance program requirements including PM inspections, identifying problems, and correcting the condition; making repairs during downtime to ensure reliability when possible.
Complete work orders, equipment pre and post inspections, and workplace exams.
Utilizing proper oil sampling techniques, demonstrate knowledge of hoses, fittings, make hoses properly, understand different types of pumps to make repairs, demonstrate ability to know all components of hydraulic system and perform accumulator charging.
Routine troubleshooting and repairs on mining/hauling equipment, perform in-depth maintenance and inspection of brakes, drive lines and tires.
Demonstrate ability to utilize hydraulic schematics. Perform cutting and welding with gas and electric.
Demonstrate knowledge of electrical components.
Know how electric over hydraulics control machines and understand the dangers of electricity and safety when dealing with and repairing systems.
Additional duties as assigned may consist of the following, but are not limited to:
Clean parts, tools and working area.
Sample fluids
Secure parts are needed
Work overtime as needed and be available for call outs on a rotating basis.
Requirements:
Hydraulic systems experience is a plus.
Electrical knowledge/certification of AC/DC systems from 12 to 480 type.
Knowledge of high-pressure air systems i.e. screw compressors and boosters is a plus.
Knowledge of duplex and triplex mud pumps is a plus.
Be able to lift 100 pounds frequently.
Must have own tools.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to attain a CDL.
Must be able to be MSHA/OSHA certified.
Underground Mine Experience is required.
Possess excellent safety record.
