Summary of Responsibilities:
Advises and assists leadership and staff with human resources programs, policies and procedures related to human resources functional area.

Essential Functions:
• Provides proactive support in the development and communication of human resources programs, policies and procedures; reviews, analyzes, recommends and develops new programs, policies and procedures.
• Consults with and advises Human Resources Business Partners and leadership on human resources programs, policies and procedures.
• Provides prompt resolution of requests and questions specific to functional area, which may have been escalated due to the specialized nature.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in functional area; educates staff to ensure consistent and equitable application of policies and procedures.
• Identifies issues that may hinder the University’s progress on strategic initiatives and recommends appropriate interventions, as needed.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field. Every year of experience beyond three (3) years can be substituted for 30 hours of college coursework.

Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in human resources or related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, time management and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests from different sources.
Excellent networking skills for candidate development purposes.
Proficient with technology, including MS suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT) and social media platforms.
Highly motivated and results oriented.
Strong relationship building skills.
Ability to think critically and solve problems.


Pay range begins at $46,000/year and is commensurate with experience
