Full-time Kitchen Manager

SUMMARY: The Kitchen Manager will oversee the overall day to day operation of the Kitchen(back of house),, including developing, managing, and implementing restaurant systems, policies, and processes, policies. Assisting with marketing strategies, develop the recruiting/ hiring process, managing food quality, and improving workflows to meet the customers' demands. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service for the restaurant's success. This position will report to the Owner. The work scheduled is Tuesday-Sunday.



RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the day-to-day restaurant operations and engage with the front of house staff and back kitchen staff to ensure orders are processed according to the company standards.
Create, manage, and implement systems and processes to improve the workflow of the Restaurant.
Ensure meals are consistently prepared and served according to the correct recipes, portioning, and serving standards.
Hire restaurant team members and shift managers to ensure qualified people are selected.
Develop training plans and provide hands-on training for new hires.
Perform employee evaluations to identify areas of improvement and identify top performers for promotions.
Evaluate the restaurant budget with the Owner to identify and price merchandise, reduce/cut costs, reduce waste, examine current pricing, and, if necessary, alter purchasing tactics without compromising quality of service and quality of food.
Assist in ordering, receiving, and maintaining food inventory, and Liquor, Wine, & Beer.
Write schedules and identify areas of need quickly to ensure hours of operations are covered and fill in where needed.
Respond to guest needs & complaints via onsite, phone, email, or on social media platforms in a timely manner.
Create marketing strategy, advertising campaigns, community outreach initiatives, and research-based techniques to attract customers.
Regulates restaurant hygiene and adheres to OSHA, Serve Safe, Allergens, and Tips procedures.
Collaborate with event planning staff and execute special events as needed.
Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends.
Attends trainings and restaurant shows as recommended by the company.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of restaurant/bar management in a high-volume environment is required.
• Associate degree in business management is highly preferred.
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must be, or willing to be, Allergen, Tips. and ServSafe certified.
• Excellent people skills, motivation, and strong leadership.
